The Town of Superior has long had an interest in offering cultural, aesthetic and social cohesion to both the community and its urban design. Sculptural works have been installed throughout the Town as early as 1992 and the public art collection has only continued to grow.

Most all public art acquisitions are formally commissioned through the Cultural Arts and Public Spaces (CAPS) advisory committee who then make recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Others are guided by community input or projects, are part of the ARTery art path project or stem from recommendations within the Superior Creative Placemaking Master Plan. 

Permanent Art Collection

The Town of Superior's Permanent Art Collection is it's body of work that it has either commissioned or taken legal responsibility over for a the time it's been given or for the lifespan of the art itself. While some of this art may only be in our community for a short time, most will be around for residents to enjoy for years or decades to come!
