Temporary street closings for the final leg of the 50^th Commemoration of the Selma-to-Montgomery Voting Rights March, which will take place in Montgomery on Wednesday, March 25:

• The march route will close to vehicular traffic at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25. The march route includes these streets:
  • Oak Street between Fairview and West Jefferson Davis
  • West Jefferson Davis between Oak and South Holt Street
  • South Holt Street between West Jefferson Davis and Day Street
  • Day from Holt to Mobile Street
  • Mobile Street to Five Points (Montgomery Street)
  • Montgomery to Dexter Plaza
  • Dexter Avenue
    • Vehicles must be removed from Dexter Avenue by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, prior to the 9 a.m. street closing.
      
      
• These streets also will close to vehicles at 9 a.m. Wednesday:
  • Court, Perry, Lawrence, McDonough, Hull, Decatur and Bainbridge streets between Washington and Monroe streets.
    
    
• Streets along the route will reopen as the march proceeds downtown.
• Downtown streets will reopen as quickly as possible after the program at the State Capitol.
• In the downtown areas where streets have been closed, movement into downtown parking decks will be allowed for employees.
